Loss at Lemmondrops

"And did you get what
you wanted from this life, even so?

I did.

And what did you want?

To call myself beloved, to feel myself
beloved on the earth."

— Raymond Carver

I thought the words she chose for her husband to write to her bloggers were amazing!!
I have to admit that after I found out she passed, I was so mad.. mad at God.. mad at cancer.. mad at the world.. it just ticks me off that those sweet babies will live a life without their mama.. they are so young.. will they ever know how much she loved them? I hope so.. it just is so darn hard to understand how this can be in God's plans.. I know that he must have a plan but as a human.. it is really hard for me to see the big picture in this:(

Yes, Tracy....all those thoughts were in my mind also.
I have you to thank for the link to Emilie's blog and to her writing. I had never visited before your post about her death. It just seemed so sad to read...
I guess this is where we: trust, lean on faith, look for the good and celebrate Emilie's life...And we pray for her children and husband. She was an immense talent and her words and love live on.
Thank you so much for sharing her blog. It reminded me to be grateful for every moment.

your so welcome, I have had a chance to really stand back and realize how blessed I am and that I need to enjoy "right now" and not worry so much about tomorrow or yesterday.. I think Emilie inspired a lot of people and that is indeed good:)
